Luisa
Amelia Dempere has been the
Director of the MAIC since June 2000.
Her educational background is in Chemistry
from Universidad de Oriente, Venezuela.
She obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials
Science and Engineering from the University
of Florida working in intermetallic composites.
